Use Squires Kitchen’s classic Fondant Icing Mix to decorate fondant fancies, bakewell tarts and cakes. Just add water to make this traditional fondant icing then pipe, dip or pour over baked treats for a wonderfully smooth, glossy finish.

Mix in your favourite flavouring or the colouring of your choice to create your ideal fondant icing. This delicious icing mix makes ideal chocolate centres and can be modelled into sugar mice.

Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
Usage instructions
  1. Shake and mix contents with cooled, boiled water (10ml to each 100g of fondant) to make a stiff dough.
  2. Place in a double boiler over hot water and gently melt the fondant. Heat to no more than 38°C. Do not overheat or the fondant will lose its shine.
  3. Add a little stock syrup or water to give a soft, flowing consistency (if the fondant is too thick it will set quickly and will not be runny enough to cover cakes).
  4. For chocolate centres, simply mix fondant with a little cooled, boiled water or liqueur to make a stiff dough. Flavour with peppermint oil, essence, or a flavouring of your choice.
