Restores consistency of icing colours
Glycerine can be used to prevent Royal Icing going too hard and brittle which can cause difficultly in cake cutting. Glycerine can also be used as sweetener in mixes as a sugar substitute and a humectant to keep food moist.
Glycerine should only be added to icing which is covering a cake, do not add glycerine to piping icing and decorations.
